I've had this watch for thirteen years, and unless it gets crushed, I don't think I'll ever buy a new one as long as I live! It's simply the best watch I've ever owned. I have a VERY small wrist. I mean VERY thin. This watch doesn't look bulky at all, but its face is large enough to be seen easily. I especially love the date window and the glow-in-the-dark hands and hour marks. This feature is super convenient when you need to check the time during a movie, or in the middle of the night. The watch soaks up light during the day and will stay illuminated (but not in a distracting way) all night. Its second hand is almost silent, so it's won't keep you up if you're trying to fall asleep. You have to adjust the date manually for months that have fewer than 31 days, but it's incredibly easy to do: just pull out the dial halfway, and twist it clockwise until the date changes over. Done and done.

I've replaced the battery perhaps every two or three years. I just take it to my local watch kiosk or jewelry store (most do it for free) and they replace it in about two minutes, for maybe $7. I did, however, replace the leather band with a cheap $10 steel one that I bought at the mall--both because my wrist is so thin and because I like to keep my watch on while washing the dishes, swimming, etc. The leather band will start to stink if you constantly get it wet, and if you have a wrist as small as mine, the extra length will flap around.

The face of mine had zero scratches until one day when I really slammed it into a jagged rock. I was sure I'd cracked the glass, but in fact it only caused a minor scratch that can only be seen at certain angles/light. In short, buy this watch! I guarantee you will not be able to find better reliability/style for less.
